Built in the age of the dynasty of King Ly Thai To (1010 – 1028), Quan Thanh Temple is famous as a vital historical and cultural relic, which is located in Quan Thanh ward, Ba Dinh district, Hanoi city, Vietnam.
This temple was originally built to worship Huyen Thien Tran Vo, or the God who protected or controlled the north area of Vietnam. Therefore, the temple previously had the names called the Tran Vo Temple or the temple of Quan Thanh Tran Vo.

Quan Thanh Temple is located in a large and gorgeous area by West Lake near the northern gate of old Thang Long capital. Due to its very important position, Quan Thanh Temple is named as one of Four Guards of Old Thang Long. The temple was undergone many renovations, there are several renovations that changed the original constructions of the temple. Of those the latest renovations that were made the 19th century. These renovations included the triple gate, the yard, the front and central worshipping chambers, and the shrine. There is a bronze statue that was cast in 1677 and dedicated to the holy Huyen Thien Tran Vo. It was built with the height of 4m and the weight of 4 tons.
