Dong Dinh Museum in Danang city, Vietnam

Dong Minh Museum, the first one authorized structure and distinctive cultural terminal in the Central Vietnam, was built in 2011.  This museum, lying in the upstream part of But (Buddhist) Stream, Son Tra peninsula, Tho Quang ward, Son Tra district, Danang, help change the cultural tourism commodities of Danang.



The reason why the museum is called “Dong Dinh” is that Dong Dinh is a name of a type of tree belonging to caryota mitislour family popular in Son Tra National Park which is grown around to make the attention of the museum. On January 10, 2011, the resolution of forming the museum was passed by The Danang People’s Committee and. After having building and gathering the items in eight years, the museum was operated for the first time in January 28th, 2011.

Dong Dinh Museum, engineered to be compatible in fashion and safe to environment of Son Tra National Park, seem to be the same as a classical center garden-house of Quang people offering tourists a peaceful ambiance. The scenery, although being kept, is reorganized to be adapted to the building consisting of a lot of inside tracks. The 100 to 2,500 year old pottery items, pertain to the cultures of Dai Viet, Sa Huynh, Champa, China and others in the area , used to be exhibited in the two classical joist houses of Quang people. Doan Huy Giao, a gifted artist, working as an editor at Vietnam Television Center in Danang, is the project possessor.
